oiy, it's been a long time since i've updated this page.. after 9 straight weeks of studying for a useless and not-even-that-important test that i apparently ended up doing horribly on, i was sentenced to my lab to make up all the research that was missed, which didn't go well due to "unforseen errors". this is my first post without a photo on it, as i still haven't gotten around to order more chemicals, nor have had the energy to snap more photos; it seems that grad school has finally sucked all the inspiration out of me.
on the bright side, i'm all good to go on my trip to korea, but not before heading up to new york city this month, las vegas in june, and probably to los angeles in july, from where i'll be flying to korea.
(for those in the dark, i'll be taking a three-week intensive language program at yonsei university in seoul. more importantly, it'll be a perfect time to get myself adjusted since some friends will be there to show me around. the plan is to go back for three weeks again in spring 2005 for the same language program, and then summer 2005 to work at Samsung's Advanced Institute of Technology. i was actually supposed to work there this summer, but the plan fell through somehow on account of lazy administrative work.)
so why all the travelling?, you may ask. seeing as i can't get out of this craphole city until i get my PhD, it's the next best thing. i'd do anything to be in a city where "culinary" doesn't mean deep-fat fried and where "nightlife" doesn't mean three people at the corner of torrero's smoking the chronic...
