since last year's christmas sucked so bad for me, i've made every effort to make this year an awesome one. i managed to get pretty cool gifts for everyone, and between minae and me there are 10 presents for the family...

"obba, i had to eat an entire happy meal for this!"

so what's on the agenda for the next several weeks?

12/22 - drive up to virginia
12/25 - christmas with the family + minae
12/28 - bussing it up to nyc
12/30 - concert @ the new york philharmonic
01/01 - new years in nyc
01/?? - two day trip to western carolina
01/12 - minae's b-day!!!

so my new car ended up being none of the below :p it's a 2005 acura tsx, 6-speed manual transmission with gps navigation... i've now entered the arena of luxury sports sedan, and i'm absolutely lovin' it! while the outside is nothing to rave about, the inside is absolute heaven, complete with dual zone heating/cooling, heated seats, voice recognition, gps, xm radio, 8 speaker bose sound system, and awesome blue mood lighting...

the exterior is alright, nothing too special though, but..

... the inside just kicks ass :) (i got the option mp3/windows media player which is installed underneath the regular 6-cd changer ^^

although it was the last state i thought i'd ever visit, i took a trip to iowa to meet up with minae... it was actually a fun trip, and a pretty nice city, although one might have thought otherwise after looking at this view from the plane...

drake university is in east des moines, the entire campus of which takes up about two blocks :p minae's dorm was pretty cool, though, way better than the crappy little holes duke gives its students.

i finally visited the FAC (fine arts center) at drake university, where all the studio art classes are taught... the drawing studio was pretty much a big empty room with lots of paper :p i was quite surprised how much talent flows through that room. minae's final project spanned 4 2x4' panels; that's a whole lotta charcoal!

half-way done!! only 16 square feet to go! hehe, looks familiar :)
