so it's 4:40 am right now, and i'm about to curl up in my little air-mattress in my office at work... life's been crazy busy as i'm trying desperately to finish up the last stage of what was a 23 year run called school. it's actually not as bad as you'd think - my office is more like a dorm room, and it's pretty cozy at night, aside from the stranges noises surrounding my building at night. it's certainly a lot better since we've moved into our new office building.

anyway, i figure now's a good a time as any to introduce some the cast members of this theatre called liquid-logic.

first up, the v-dawg... vijay's gonna be hubby in 10,234,523 seconds. he's a fellow dukie from the original fantastic four of digital microfluidics. yar!

on the left is the ryan, or as vijay would call him, the sturminator. he's a freak who i think fabricated his many majors from nc state. among the list are electrical engineering, computer science, and computer engineering, not to mention his electrical computer and science engineering degrees. on the right is lisa, our office manager and director of make-our-company-look-less-bacheloresque :p

last but not least, uncle Al! our resident biochemist and subject of the many pranks i pull to make his life a little less professional and a little more like he's seven years old with an annoying younger brother.

alright, it's time to go to bed! or rather, time to go to air-bed! -_-;

yesterday's duke-unc match was absofuckincrazy...

man, today's the first time this week i've come back home before midnight... i think it's starting to take a toll as my thoughts have progressively become more and more incoherent. i'm pretty much trying to pull the impossible -- completing two year's worth of phd research in 4 months while finishing up my courseworkk (quantum mechanics of all things!) and working pretty much full time at our startup company. this is in part to make up for the time i lost last semester taking care of my sick father, and in part to avoid going into my 9th consecutive year here at duke... yuck!

i was sifting through some old files archived on a backup CDs, and ran into this old webpage/journal i used to keep. it's kind of eery with the background music, especially since reading the entries for the first time in five years...

it's a bit 신기 how far i've come in since then. some particularly interesting entries are: 1 2 3

pete had a stash of really old slides my dad developed about 17 years ago... 17 years later, they've been digitized! now, the question is, what the hell am i doing? clearly i must have pushed the door open so hard that it was still wide enough as i'm booking it out of the store. is that a pack of smokes i'm stealing?? and check out those socks! stylin'!

the most amazing thing is the fact that they were selling fudge bars for 25 cents. they go for, what, at least a buck now? a buck fifty?
